Sorneema

EarthSinger · songwriter

Most days, I’m posting covers from my room, my phone, or wherever I can steal a quiet minute. Reels, TikTok, Shorts, that’s where people usually find me first. Birse Afailai is my first original. More songs are coming when they feel honest enough to leave my Notes app.

If you landed here from a random scroll: hi, thanks for staying longer than three seconds. That already means something to me.

About

Me, in plain words

I’m studying computer engineering, which sounds very responsible. My heart, unfortunately for my sleep schedule, is in music.

I don’t have a glossy five-year plan. I have voice memos, bad sleep, and a Notes app full of lines I’ll finish when they stop dodging me.

I’m Sorneema. Nepal is part of me, but I don’t want my story to be limited to one place. The people who listen to me are scattered everywhere, across countries, time zones, and tiny screens, and somehow that feels like home too.

Birse Afailai was my first release, and I’m glad it came out in Nepali first. Some feelings only arrive in the language they were born in. What I’m writing next leans more English. I’ll still sing in Nepali when the song asks for it, but I don’t want to force either side of me. I just want the music to sound true.

For now, you’ll mostly find me doing covers on Reels, TikTok, and Shorts. That’s where I practice in public, get nervous in public, grow in public, and somehow meet people who make me brave enough to share my own songs too.

Music

What’s actually on here

Right now, there’s one original out in the world. Just one. But it matters to me because it was the first time I stopped hiding behind covers and let something of my own breathe.

Original

Birse Afailai (Raw Version)

My first release as Sorneema. I called it “raw” because that’s what it was: not overthought, not overprotected, just a song I needed to let go of before I convinced myself not to. If it finds you at the right time, save it. Send it to someone. Let it sit with you for a little while.

And yes, if you stream it, my mom gets one more reason to brag. So really, this is a family service.

Elsewhere

Stalk me nicely

Most people meet me through a cover before they ever hear an original. That’s okay with me. Covers are how I practice, how I connect, and how I learn what my voice can carry. If you’re already one of the people watching, commenting, saving, or quietly coming back, I notice more than you think.

Reels first. Stories when my brain remembers to press post. Mostly covers, always me.
